I have spent more than 30 years becoming really good at what I do. The education, the training, the experience across corporate, academic, and nonprofit environments. That is not a small thing. That is a lifetime of investment in a craft I genuinely love.

And over time I started noticing something. So many professionals just like me were retiring, stepping back, or moving on, and everything they had learned, everything they had built over decades, was quietly disappearing with them.

I think about that a lot.

I think about it because I watched it happen in my own family. When my mother passed away a couple of years ago, I realized she had been the keeper of much of our family’s history. She was the one I called when I needed to know who someone was, what really happened, where we all came from. And when she was gone, that knowledge went with her.

Her older sister, my aunt, passed not long after. She was another woman who (along with my mother) had carried decades of stories and lived experience that none of us could ever fully recover.

That kind of loss has a way of clarifying things.

I also started thinking seriously about my own future. I had watched family members struggle in retirement, stretched thin by rising housing and healthcare costs, having to choose between bills in ways that scared me.

I knew I wanted something different. Not just for the financial security, but because I believe that what I know, is worth far more than a job title I’ve had in my career that eventually expires.

I’ve spent more than 30 years designing and developing learning experiences and I know what it takes to turn expertise into something structured, teachable, and genuinely transformational.

And I know that accomplished professionals don’t need more knowledge. They need someone to help them see what they already have in a completely different way.

That is the work I am here to do.
